Pilz PSENmgate compact safety gate system

Pilz has released the PSENmgate compact safety gate system, which combines the PSENmlock safety locking device with the control elements of the PITgatebox pushbutton unit in a single device. Various control elements are possible, such as pushbuttons, key switches, illuminated pushbuttons and section stop, as well as e-stop and escape release. Suitable handles are also available.

Compared to its predecessor, PSENsgate, the PSENmgate is 43% smaller at 40 x 65 x 238 mm, saving space on machinery while still providing protection against tampering and bypassing.

PSENmgate is suitable for all types of safety gate, including those with series connection, for personnel protection up to PL e, Cat. 4 (EN ISO 13849-1), and has protection class of IP65. User-friendly diagnostics are provided by four LEDs and a diagnostic output.

The system has a holding force of up to 7500 N and monitors for bolt breakage.

The PSENmgate safety gate system is a versatile solution for secure guard locking with integrated control elements. It is adaptable for use on accessible safety gates, covers and flaps. For instance, PSENmgate is designed to ensure the safe guard locking of accessible safety gates in a robot cell. Additionally, multiple safety gates can be easily and quickly connected in series with minimal wiring.
