The WStrider-200A rugged embedded controller is designed to operate under harsh conditions. Its aluminium die-cast enclosure and M12 watertight connector provide IP67-grade protection against dust and water and enable it to sustain high impact and resistance to vandalism.

Powered by an Intel Atom Z510PT with the US15WPT industrial-grade processor and chipset, the controller is able to operate in extreme temperatures from -30 to 70°C. The built-in 802.11b/g/n module with IP67-compliant external antenna provides high-speed wireless connectivity.

The controller has a built-in Techwell TW6805 which enables the capture of 2-channel video via an analog camera. In mining or rescue applications, live video images are necessary for control and decision-making; the WStrider-200A can encode video and picture data and instantly transfer it to a remote monitoring centre via Gigabit ethernet or 802.11b/g/n high speed wireless communication.

In severe environments where the power source can be unstable, the controller can support varying power input from 9 VDC to 28 VDC. As a safety measure, the unit uses a 5-pin M12 connector as the power input interface, which has different pin numbers to prevent the power from being connected incorrectly.
