Compact frequency inverter

A compact series of frequency inverters has been launched by SEW-Eurodrive.

This latest addition to the company's Movitrac range of frequency inverters is the Movitrac LT, suitable for low-power variable-speed applications such as fans, pumps, machine tools and conveyors.

Available in two compact frame sizes, the Movitrac LT series comprises single-phase 230 V units up to 2.2 kW, and three-phase 400 V units up to 4.0 kW. The use of the latest power modules to achieve an ultra-small footprint, coupled with an innovative bookshelf design, minimise required cabinet space.

The powerful functionality of the Movitrac LT series of frequency inverters includes programmable I/O for maximum flexibility, the option of silent motor running with 32 kHz 'quiet switching', the availability of 'cold plate' heat sink technology, and the incorporation of a radio frequency interference (RFI) filter that results in C-tick compliance. The industrially-robust unit is also rated to 50°C ambient temperature and will withstand 150% overload for 60 s.
