Direct Automation CM5 HMI series

The CM5 HMI series offers high-performance HMIs in six screen sizes from 4 to 22 inches. With a 1.6 GHz processor in the larger units (10″ and above) and 43 Mb of memory, the CM5 series offers improved trending, extra data storage, faster communication and improved file types including JPEG.

Each panel offers a range of communication ports for plug-and-play connections with industrial networks. All CM5 panels have serial and Ethernet ports and several supported protocols including Modbus, EtherNet/IP, and the lightweight MQTT protocol used in many machine-to-machine (M2M) and IIoT applications. The 10″ and larger models feature an additional Ethernet port, allowing them to act as a data bridge between two separate networks.

The included USB ports provide connections for programming and peripherals such as keyboards, USB-to-audio converters, barcode scanners, additional memory storage, etc. The embedded SD-card slot provides project transfers or up to an additional 2 TB of data storage (depending on model) for log files.

CM5 HMIs utilise Windows configuration software that provides tools for developing simple or complex projects. The software has features that include a built-in project simulator, an event manager, flexible recipes, a large range of screen objects, trend graphs, PID faceplates and historical data logging.
