The IBS is a powered batch controller for liquids with an 85-265 VAC or 12-72 VDC power supply and an 8-digit display. The instrument can be configured from the front touch buttons to batch volumes from 0.01 to 999,999.99 litres and K factors from 999,999 to 0.01 can be used. Also included is an adjustable 8-20 VDC loop supply that can be used to provide the excitation power supply for flow sensors.
The instrument accepts an input from 0-5 kHz and is DIP-switch selectable for open collector, Reed, Hall, NAMUR and turbine signals (from 20 mV p-p).
The instrument is supplied in a panel-mounting enclosure of 96 mm2 by 118 mm deep with an IP65-rated front. A clear silicon boot is available that upgrades the protection rating to IP67.
The batch size is set in from the front panel. Pressing the start button will energise output relay one and start liquid flow. Relay two will energise after its time delay is exceeded. The display will increment or decrement in value as the batch progresses to the finish starting the end of batch output. Relay two can have a programmed pre-stop value. The batch can be halted at any time with the stop button and restarted with the resume button, which will re-energise the output relays and cause the batch to continue from where it stopped.
