ABB ACS800-38 low harmonic drive

Wednesday, 31 October, 2012 | Supplied by: ABB Australia Pty Ltd

The ABB ACS800-38 low harmonic drive is designed to eliminate harmonic noise. Designed for harsh and remote outdoor conditions, it can be easily transported and installed outdoors where no fixed facilities are present.

The product features a robust double-layer thermal lockable cabinet designed to withstand temperatures up to 55°C. The drive allows easy on-site installation and can be simply integrated with programmable logic controllers and HMI touch screens to meet user application needs. The drive’s low maintenance and durability helps ensure a long operational life.

The company’s self-contained Cothex cooling system, a closed air cooling method that does not circulate external air inside the drive, makes optimal cooling operation in the cabinet possible without any need for outside air. This eliminates the risk for corrosive gases or sand to enter the interior parts of the cabinet, reducing maintenance costs and unplanned downtime.
