The PIAB Vactrap COAX is a check valve with an integrated Pi12-2 COAX cartridge for decentralised systems and a built-in blow-off valve to provide a quick release of objects. It has external blow-off possibilities and a special version with an interconnected (x-drilled) vacuum pump and blow-off connection is also possible, making it suitable for ejectors with an integrated blow-off valve, such as PIAB's AVM models.
The mounting for Vactrap low-profile Pi12-2 COAX fits standard robot end-of-arm tooling found in the automotive industry (ball joint and lock pin connections). It is available with a T-slot connection for the suction cup or a G3/8" female thread. The industry which will benefit the most from these products is the automotive industry but many industries where non-porous materials (glass, metal, plastic) are handled can also benefit from the features of the Vactrap COAX.
The Vactrap COAX traps the vacuum pressure in vacuum systems for an indefinite period of time in non-porous applications, thus preventing the object from being dropped. Safety and reliability are increased when handling non-porous materials. The integrated COAX technology also offers benefits such as energy saving, faster cycle time, reliability at low pressure and easy maintenance.
