A pre-engineered, fully documented piping system, the Swagelok Fluid Distribution Header (FDH) can serve as a distribution or collection manifold in gas or liquid applications. The FDH is a Swagelok Pre-Engineered Subsystem, part of a series of pre-engineered, preassembled products designed to provide increased efficiency in installation, operation and procurement in fluid systems.

A common component in fluid distribution systems, a fluid distribution header provides a flow path with multiple outlets, acting much like a large branch fitting. With an inlet on one end, a drain on the other and multiple outlets on the side, users can customise the FDH based on the facility or process need. The Swagelok FDH incorporates an extruded manifold body design with square sides that mounts solidly to prevent twisting, standard branch locations for increased system flexibility and additional outlets can be added later without welding.

The FDH provides options for 2 to 16 outlets, available with or without valves so users can add ports as needed, a variety of high-quality valves and end connections, and mounting brackets that can be positioned by the installer.

The FDH is rated for working pressures up to 3000 psig (248 bar). The system is available in 1 or 2 sizes and is designed so that users can individually configure to suit the needs of their system. Typical distribution applications include connection of several systems to a single utility fluid such as cooling water, steam, compressed air or plant nitrogen. It can also function as a collection manifold for single connection for disposal.
