Snap-Tite Quikxchange hydraulic disconnect couplings

Changing hydraulic work tool hoses on things like excavators can be time consuming and costly plus typical fittings are subject to frequent spills and contamination, which lead to other problems such as environmental issues and premature tool wear, and damage.

The thread design inherent in Quikxchange means that it’s easy to use, durable, and eliminates spill and contamination problems. With Quikxchange, sliding thread covers protect the outer threads from dirt and contamination on the coupler half that is mounted on the equipment.

The drybreak flush designed face on the other mating surface is smooth and easy to clean thereby stopping contamination entering the system.

To connect the Quikxchange, users engage the nipple and begin threading the unit together by simply rotating the sleeve. During the thread process there is a click, which is the secondary vibration lock that prevents the unit from unthreading during high-vibration applications. The antivibration unit can be checked by unthreading the sleeve until it hits the lock and stops.

The unit has a low-pressure drop and will survive surge flow as well as pulsating hammer flow and can be retrofitted to any machinery. The threaded drybreak design connects and disconnects without spillage, preventing introduction of dirt into the hydraulic system while easily connecting against trapped static pressure.

These couplings have been tested to 10,000 h of use with no seal tearing or valve component failures from impulse or surge flows.
