Pneumatic quarter turn actuators

The DFPB pneumatic quarter turn actuators are designed for use in water treatment plants, the pharmaceutical industry or in food production plants. These actuators can be used to perform opening and closing movements in process valves.

The housing design of the DFPB means that the same actuator can be mounted on both right-closing and left-closing process valves. When combined with electropneumatic position controllers, it can also be used for high-precision positioning, especially with ball and plug valves, shut-off and butterfly valves.

The DFPB offers advantages that make it suitable for demanding applications, with high corrosion resistance and easy exchange of seals, since no special tools are required. The actuator is designed according to the rack-and-pinion principle. Quarter-turn actuators based on this principle exhibit an identical torque characteristic across the entire rotation angle range. The DFPB actuators are also extremely compact, with single-acting and double-acting actuators constructed from the same housing design. A new pressure-dependent lip seal minimises frictional loss and ensures a longer service life
