Designed for use in welding gun applications in the automotive industry, SMC’s compact magnetic field-resistant auto switch, Series D-P3DW, offers improved maintenance, smaller bore size capabilities and high magnetic field resistance.

The Series D-P3DW can be mounted on both larger cylinders up to 125 mm as well as smaller cylinders including 25 and 32 mm. With a specially designed mounting bracket, which is fixed to the cylinder body, fast and efficient maintenance is ensured without the need to check or readjust the switch’s position following its replacement.

Primarily for use in environments with high magnetic field disturbances, Series D-P3DW is suitable for use in AC welding machines of 16,000 A or lower; and because of its magnetic field resistance, the switch can be used when the distance between the welding conductor and the auto switch is 0 mm.

Available with a spatter-proof, flame-resistant cable, this two-colour solid-state, CE, UL (CSA) and RoHS approved auto switch range can be mounted on both round groove and square groove cylinder types.
