Tronics shrink labelling system

Wednesday, 14 November, 2012 | Supplied by: Aldus - Tronics Pty Ltd

Avery Dennison and Tronics have collaborated on a labeller for the Avery Dennison Shrink PS packaging material that enables late-stage decorating of vacuum-shrink bags. The labeller applies the pressure-sensitive label to the shrinkable bags offline or inline prior to filling and vacuum sealing. The system is suitable for the meat and dairy industries.

Tronics’ Shrink Labelling System enables Shrink PS labels to be applied quickly to shrink bags. Easy to use, the labeller enables quick roll changes, label reel to shrink reel labelling or single bag tear-away for easy label and fill manufacturing.

The system has a heavy-duty stainless steel frame and an easy-to-use LCD that allows quick adjustments. Electromagnetic clutches maintain constant tension throughout the roll of bags.

The labelling system allows for bags to be labelled singularly using a food control system that can be torn off at the nip/pinch roller assembly.

Both the bag feeder and label head are motion controlled, stepper driven and capable of speeds up to 30 m/min. Linear speeds up to 30 m/min deliver up to 60 bags/min for 500 mm bags.
