Robomatrix is a high-speed palletising system developed in response to an industry-wide need for increased flexibility to handle complex product and packaging configurations.
In the system, cartons are manipulated from a single stream, orientated and positioned laterally, with absolute precision and reliability so they accumulate in the programmed layer pattern. Once the layer is formed it is lowered onto the pallet hoist and discharged onto the full pallet out-feed conveying system from where it is normally distributed to a pallet stretch wrapping station.
Robomatrix features software tools and technology that make it simple to use with flexibility, accuracy and reliability.
High palletising rates are now possible with Foodmach’s Accubuster feed technology and Trac-N-Grip pack gripper head.
The Accubuster system features side grip belts combined with servomotor controls, thus allowing compacted groups of packs or single packs to be fed into the pattern-forming area.
The ability to move groups of packs significantly increases the throughput of the machine, making Robomatrix a fast and flexible palletising system.
Foodmach’s Pattern Wizard software allows users to quickly enter a new pack size and configure a new layer pattern.
The intuitive workspace has a pallet area where users simply drag packs onto the pallet and arrange them into the desired pattern.
The software allows the operator to configure grouping of packs, gaps between the groups, the order of layer formation and the ultimate position of the layer on the pallet.
