IEI Technology MODAT-335 UHF RFID reader

Saturday, 12 May, 2012 | Supplied by: ICP Electronics Australia

IEI Technology's MODAT-335 reader features an optional UHF reader, a technology that is becoming increasingly popular for solving difficult RFID problems and meeting business needs across industries. Compared to the more mature HF tags, that have a 1 m reading range, on average, the UHF tags operate in a higher frequency band, ranging from 860 to 960 MHz, and provide a reading range of up to 10 m.

The MODAT-335 includes an optional handle grip with a barcode trigger. This ergonomic design allows users to easily carry and hold the MODAT-335 while reading tags. The angle at which the device can read tags is greatly increased when using this accessory.

The UHF RFID reader can be used for vehicle identification, verification and identification of vehicle transponders, as well as object or personnel tracking. It assists with verifying job or order delivery assignments and can read multiple items at once or from a long distance.
