Pepperl+Fuchs modular HH5* series handhelds feature a user-friendly interface design and powerful hardware. The RFID read/write heads for different frequencies (LF, HF, and UHF) are plug-and-play, and can be pushed onto the base without using any tools. This allows the heads to be changed quickly even during ongoing operation.

The devices are available with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and Android Industrial+. This optimised operating system provides a user interface that will be familiar for many users due to its parallels with the well-known smartphone OS. The RFID handheld is built around a high-performance Arm Cortex A53 quad-core processor with a 1.8 GHz clock frequency per core, and features an embedded Cortex M4, 400 MHz processor, which provides dedicated control of the RFID read/write heads.

The handheld also has 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of flash memory, providing quick access and fast processing times even when working with more complex software applications.
