Siemens Sitrans WM100 heavy-duty motion-sensing switch

Tuesday, 17 August, 2010 | Supplied by: Siemens Ltd

The Sitrans WM100 heavy-duty motion-sensing switch is designed to detect the absence or presence of motion on rotating, reciprocating or conveying equipment. The device acts as early warning systems to avoid process interruptions and equipment breakdowns. Located outside of the process, Sitrans WM100 accurately detects operating conditions without wear on the sensor.

Sitrans WM100 can be mounted up to 100 mm from the ferrous target. The robust motion sensor provides contacts to shut down machinery whenever zero speed is detected. On belt, drag and screw conveyors, or on bucket elevators, fans and pumps, the zero speed alarm option can be used to warn of equipment malfunction.

The rugged Sitrans WM100 is impervious to dust, dirt, build-up and moisture, and is suitable for primary industries such as mining, and aggregate and cement plants. The non-contacting design of the Sitrans WM100 eliminates the need for lubricating, cleaning and part replacement.
