Hawk to distribute innovative fluid measurement technology
Perceptive Sensor Technologies (PST), a maker of real-time fluid identification and condition monitoring technologies, has announced Hawk Measurement (HAWK) as its global sales partner. PST’s non-intrusive method utilising acoustic waves to identify the fluid content of any closed container or pipe was originally developed by the US Department of Defense to identify chemical weapons inside of shell casings while enforcing treaties with foreign nations.
PST and HAWK have sales representatives in 50 countries around the world. PST has also released two new products to the market: Alarm-ID and Transmix-ID. These products are designed for tank overfill protection and pipeline applications identifying the mixture of two liquids that have mixed during transportation, enabling the operator to remove them without removing pure product.
“The process automation market has not seen a sensor this revolutionary in over 40 years,” said John Schlitt, Chief Revenue Officer for PST. “This technology will revolutionise the measurement industry over the next decade, providing product identification and validation inside process pipes or tanks while simultaneously making measurements like flow, density, custody transfer, mass balance, safety alarms and many others on PST’s development roadmap.”
“HAWK is honoured and elated to partner with such a technologically advanced company such as PST,” said Jack Evans, Global President of Hawk Measurement. “The PST product line and technology coincides with HAWK’s values and commitment to bring the most innovative products to our customers.
“As a leading manufacturer of level, positioning, asset monitoring and flow measurement, the PST partnership elevates HAWK’s product offerings to the global industrial market. Together, we will lead the way in providing customers complete solutions to reduce costs, mitigate risks and increase business agility.”
PST designs, manufactures and sells technology identifying liquids non-invasively as well as product quantity and quality confirmations. Industry vertical markets with needs for this technology include environmental, oil and gas, food and beverage, chemical, petrochemical, utilities, manufacturing, marine, water and wastewater, mining, pulp and paper.
