The Indura series of industrial, managed switches from Transition Networks provide fully hardened solutions designed to operate reliably in harsh environments. Indura is designed to meet IEC 61850-3, ATEX Zone 2 and UL Class 1 Div 2, and offers advanced industrial ethernet management, redundancy and security features coupled with rugged hardware performance for industrial or outdoor environment applications requiring high reliability and availability. Its four gigabit SFP ports allow a wide range of fibre supported network architectures.

Indura supports IEEE 1588v2 Precision Time Protocol for real-time automation applications and IEEE 802.3ah/IEEE 802.1ag/ITU-T Y.1731 make Indura a suitable choice for networks that need fault detection and fault isolation.

The passive cooling design maintains operating temperature of SFPs, through the extended operating temperature range of -40 to 75°C. Fault recovery time is less than 50 ms, with STP/RSTP/MSTP. System alarms are provided via a fault output relay, Syslog and SNMP traps (SNMP v3). For security the Indura supports IEEE 802.1x user authentication, RADIUS and TACACS+.
