Harting Ha-VIS FTS 3100-A, FTS 3082-ASFP and FTS 3060-A switches
Harting has announced three additions to its range of fast ethernet switches with Fast Track Switching technology: the Ha-VIS FTS 3100-A, equipped with 10 RJ45 ports; the Ha-VIS FTS 3082-ASFP, equipped with eight RJ45 ports plus two SFP slots; and the Ha-VIS FTS 3060-A prototype, with six RJ45 ports in a slim design.
Fast Track Switching is now even more versatile thanks to a wealth of management functions. Harting will be presenting its new series devices in a managed version at this year’s Hannover Messe. This means: determinism and availability, combined with redundancy, reliability, diagnosis and much more.
The FTS method recognises, prioritises and accelerates those frames that are particularly important for the user in the specific application. It is easy to set the switch up for the identification characteristics within these frames. This allows the switch to recognise important frames, which are then accelerated by cut-through switching, allowing them to overtake other frames. As fully managed switches, the devices offer features such as redundancy capability, VLANs and DHCP. The integrated Profinet I/O stack furthermore allows the devices to be used and integrated as Conformance Class B equipment. EtherNet/IP applications are also supported with IGMP snooping and DHCP Option 82.
