Westermo achieves IEC 62443-4-1 certification
Industrial data communication company Westermo has announced it has achieved of the IEC 62443-4-1 cybersecurity certification.
The IEC 62443-4-1 standard focuses on secure product development lifecycle requirements, ensuring that companies have robust processes in place to develop secure products. Westermo has now reached maturity level 2, demonstrating that documentation and routines are qualified to ensure cybersecurity.
Westermo has documented and ensured that all necessary routines are in place. Process implementation is already underway, which means that every product developed by Westermo is designed with security in mind. This proactive approach is intended to help secure its customers’ processes to ensure that their information remains safe.

Building on this success, the company’s next goal is to achieve the IEC 62443-4-2 certification for its major product lines, further solidifying the company’s focus on secure industrial networking.
