Moxa IKS-6500 range of rackmount ethernet switches

Moxa has introduced the IKS-6500 range of industrial rackmount ethernet switches that support flexible copper/fibre configuration with gigabit uplinks, reliable media and power redundancy, advanced network management functionality and industrial rugged design.

They support a wide operating temperature range and meet various industrially recognised standards (such as DNV/GL, EN50121-4, NEMA TS2 and UL 60950) to guarantee high network availability and environmental adaptability for harsh environments. The IKS series rackmount ethernet switches are intended for creating large-scale networks where high port density and integrated connections at control centres are required.

The switches feature two combo gigabit RJ45/SFP ports (IKS-6526-2GTXSFP series) or up to eight fibre connections (IKS-6526-8SFP series). They support Turbo Ring, Turbo Chain and STP/RSTP for ethernet redundancy with a recovery time of less than 20 ms, as well as IEEE 1588 PTP, Modbus/TCP, LLDP, SNMP Inform, QoS, IGMP snooping, VLAN, IEEE 802.1X, HTTPS, SNMPv3 and SSH.

Isolated redundant power inputs with 110/220 VAC power supply and standardised power inlets are provided, and the units are of fanless design with an operating temperature range of between -40 and 75°C.
