Ethernet Direct HMG-448G managed ethernet switch

The HMG-448G from Ethernet Direct Australia is a reliable, fault-tolerant managed gigabit ethernet industrial switch, with four 10/100/1000 Mbps ethernet ports and four small-form pluggable (SFP) ports that support a wide variety of gigabit (or Fast) ethernet mini-GBIC modules for use on existing network infrastructure with either multimode or single-mode connectivity.

The switch provides a redundant self-recovery mechanism within 10 ms on full load, which allows for the establishment of a redundant ethernet network to build a backup ring topology.

Dual homing and ring coupling are supported to add reliability by allowing a device to be connected to the network via two independent connection points.

The switch also offers surge (EFT) protection to 3000 VDC on its power inpute and 4000 VDC ethernet ESD protection. The unit comes in a robust IP30-rated metal enclosure and has a wide-range redundant power design.

Management features include SNMP, RMON, spanning tree, VLAN, port trunking with LACP, 802.1AB LLDP, QoS/CoS and bandwidth control.
