TEA Transmissions AK series mechanical linear guides

Wednesday, 24 August, 2011 | Supplied by: TEA Transmissions Pty Ltd

Ready to attach direct to the user’s geared motor, the AK series mechanical linear guides can provide a high-quality, reliable and easy-to-install solution to finding a system that is also compact.

The double-drive head offers guide symmetry and securing points on four sides for the reduction gear and a locking and tensioning system makes it possible to adjust and maintain the belt, working on two sides of the carriage and leaving the support surface free.

Three versions are currently available: AK208R - which has a hardened, chrome-plated and non-lubricated track that is suitable for dirty environments (dust, swarf, abrasives etc) where lubrication may contaminate the product - such as paper or fabric. The AK208R stainless steel is suitable for the food industry or corrosive environments (water, marine, steam, acids, etc), while the AKR20 has ball bearing guides for greater rigidity and a very narrow carriage plate.

Up to 6 m length is possible and radial loads to 2000 N (200 kg).
