The 316 stainless steel, metal face sensor line is designed and tested to provide reliable position indication in harsh food and beverage applications.

Designed and tested for use in high temperature (0 to 100  °C) food and beverage applications, the sensor line is designed and tested to withstand extreme environments. The sensor’s housing is chemically compatible with industrial cleaning solutions and will not corrode. Its zero-leak design, rated IP69K, prevents ingress during high-pressure cleaning and steam cleaning.

To improve their life-in-application, the sensors are subjected to a battery of tests that ensure reliable performance in the application. These tests include the IP69K high-pressure cleaning test, thermal shock test, and shock and vibration tests.

These stainless steel sensors feature a 360° ring LED design for status indication and laser-etched part numbers. Sensors are available in standard housing styles that include M12, M18, and M30 tubular housings.

For connection technology, ifm offers a family of M12 connectors specifically designed for food and beverage applications that feature PVC cable material rated for high temperatures, stainless steel coupling nuts and gold contacts.
