Rotary encoders

The Osisense rotary encoders are now open to fieldbus communication including a version fully compatible with CANopen and Profibus-DP networks.

Osisense rotary encoders can be used in many industrial applications where there is a need to calculate a position or speed by counting pulses. The Osisense range is constructed from a zinc alloy housing, a solid aluminium base for fixing and stainless steel shaft and ball bearings to prevent corrosion. Together with resistance to mechanical shock and vibration, this range of incremental and absolute encoders is designed to exceed the requirements of many industrial applications in material handling, packaging, conveying and cranes.

Continuous process machines also require the integration of network-open encoders that offer increasing performance in terms of processing speed, distances and chaining.

In synergy with the Modicon PLCs and Altivar variable speed drives, Schneider Electric can offer a tailored solution with increased performance.
