Omron’s Type FQ Series vision sensor incorporates full-blown image processing capabilities in a palm-size footprint.
Traditionally, smart cameras or photoelectric sensors have been used where low-cost inspections are required, but functionality and performance with these are limited. Instead, higher grade vision sensors have called for extensive configurations with the know-how for making good use of the technology.
For solving these problems, the Type FQ Series vision sensor has been designed to simultaneously meet inspection reliability, ease of use and cost performance requirements. By inheriting Omron’s image processing technologies used in higher models, reliable inspections for metal parts or shiny materials are easily achieved without being affected by the installed environment. Camera, lighting and core processor are all integrated, thus eliminating special know-how or complicated configuration work for selecting the optimum combination of peripheral devices.
The Type FQ Series vision sensor is a compact solution combining a camera and an image processor within one housing. With the built-in lens and high-performance LED, there is no need for external lighting. The IP67 protections class enables the Type FQ Series to be used even in harsh environments.
The Type FQ Series also delivers high image quality and clarity.
