Micro PLCs

Omron Electronics has increased their offering of micro PLCs by adding both 10 and 60 I/O CPUs to the CP1L range. Also, all six CPU types are now available with AC power source and transistor (NPN) output, offering additional flexibility to customers.

The CP1L-L10 unit features six inputs (DC type) and four outputs (relay or transistor). It retains its USB port for programming but offers no communication slot or I/O expansion facilities. It has been targeted at a niche market of high-volume users who are price sensitive. Both the analog and volume controls are standard features.

The new CP1L-M60 CPUs support 36 inputs and 24 outputs, giving it greater I/O capacity than the previous CPUs. Like the rest of the CP1L-M series range, the 60-point I/O unit offers the usual three expander units. As expanders can have up to 40 points each (24 inputs and 16 outputs), the maximum I/O capacity of the total system is 180 points.

The CP1L-M60 also provides two communication slots for mounting additional RS232 or RS422/480 communication boards. The new DAM01 is a data access module, a small HMI mounting directly to the CP1L unit. The CP1L-M60 CPU is able to support one such unit, for a basic HMI interface.
