Measuring 23.1 x 12 x 8 mm, the 2 Series photoelectric sensors from Leuze electronic are smaller than a matchbox. At the same time, these throughbeam and retroreflective photoelectric sensors, and diffuse reflection light scanners offer ranges of up to 2 m.

With their small, homogenous and highly visible light spot generated by pinpoint LED emitters, the 2 Series sensors are suitable for the detection of small parts in small confines. These devices are recommended when the design engineer is confronted with highly constrained spaces yet needs a flexible solution in addition to good performance (pnp/npn switching output, light/dark switching). Secure, simple and mechanically reinforced mounting of the sensors is possible with standard workshop M3 screws, and the housing, moulded with thermoelastic elastomer, provides an environmental protection rating of IP67.
