ASM has introduced the PTAS2 inclinometer series with ranges from ±15 to ±180° in a robust, IP68-rated stainless steel housing. This sensor has been tested to withstand harsh conditions, which makes it suitable for a wide range of applications such as factory automation machines and robotics, mobile cranes, draw bridges, adjustable platforms and off-highway construction equipment.

The PTAS2 series is the latest addition to the Positilt family and is available with three different absolute analog outputs: 0.5-5 V, 0.5-10 V and 4-20 mA with a typical resolution of 0.1°. The measurement range is available from ±15 to ±180° in 15° increments. The compact 44 mm diameter housing with servo flange mounting allows for quick and easy installation.

Since the PTAS2 is based on wear-free, multi-Hall Effect position sensor technology, it offers significantly increased reliability in extreme environments. The PTAS2 is tested to withstand 100 g shocks and 20 g, 10 Hz-2 kHz vibration.
