The ZFX-CD smart vision sensor is a total image processing system that includes a camera with an integrated light source and an image processing unit, and has 1D/2D and pharmacode reading capability.
With Omron’s proprietary measurement algorithm, parameters can be set through only a few steps involving the operation of a touch-panel colour monitor. This ‘smart’ user interface provides simplicity of usage giving users all they need to perform a complete image enhancement.
The ZFX-CD system can inspect pattern, brightness, hue, position, width, count and area. The built-in light can be controlled for more or less light and up to triple speed, and a monochrome or colour camera can be connected to the same controller.
The system allows the use of multiple measurement tools at the same time, including pattern search, sensitive search, defect, hue, position, width, count and region/area. It can store up to 100 images in memory for product selection without slowing down and is capable of storing up to 1024 products in memory for precut selection.
The ZFX-CD system allows on-site adjustment without returning to menu mode or stopping the line, and programming options include a touch pen, keypad or programming console connecting to an external monitor. Connection can be done via digital I/O, RS 232/422, USB connection and ethernet. A password function allows only authorised users to make changes.
The ZFX-CD system can be used as a standalone system with no PC required for setting up a two-camera system.
