Tuesday, 07 October, 2014 | Supplied by: Balluff Pty Ltd

Balluff Proxinox sensors made of stainless steel can withstand the toughest cleaning processes and meet all the specifications and directives for the pharmaceutical and food industries, it is claimed. They are optimised for extreme conditions, with maximum seal tightness (IP67, IP68 and IP69K), Ecolab certified and temperature resistant up to 105°C.

Balluff offers a complete range based on a variety of different physical mechanisms, augmented by a precisely coordinated line of fastening and connection technology in stainless steel and IP69K. Depending on the type of sensor, additional features include lasered or etched type designations, additional O-ring seals and in some cases gold-plated contacts.

The BOS optoelectronic sensors, BMF magnet field-sensitive sensors or inductive sensors, and also the BCS capacitive and BUS ultrasonic sensors fulfil all specifications for the food and pharmaceutical industries.

The FDA-3A-certified Micropulse transducers with FDA-compliant casing design allows them to come into contact with the product, such as fill level detection for fruit juice, milk or beer in bottling plants. The stainless steel versions are HALT tested and offer operational reliability for many years.
