Hydac HLS 528 distance sensor

The HLS 528 distance sensor is a contact-free, highly compact sensor for measuring the distance to liquids and objects in pressure-free applications. As a result of its functional principle, it operates with a high resolution and measurement rate. HLS 528 is available for measurement ranges of up to 6000 mm and is available in three signal output versions: two switching outputs; one analog output (either 4-20 mA or 0-10 V), plus one or two switching outputs.

Adjustment of the sensor is easy and convenient via two push-buttons and a self-explanatory menu structure. A 3-digit digital display shows the current distance and two 3-colour LEDs show the operating condition. The sensor is temperature compensated, and the switching and switch-back points can be adjusted independently.
