The ISCX3 is a signal isolator that accepts a 4-20 mA with an input impedance of 50W or 0-10 VDC with an input impedance of 20 kW and provides three isolated output channels of 4-20 mA or 0-10 VDC with an accuracy of 0.1%.
The standard instrument provides three-way galvanic isolation with a minimum of 500 VRMS. Each output is completely independent and can be scaled for different applications. Final calibration is achieved using 15-turn zero and span potentiometers on the front of the instrument.
Applications include using the ISCX3 as an interface module to isolate process signals between plant equipment, PLCs and digital control systems. A possible scenario is to take a 4-20 mA signal from a level sensor and provide a 4-20 mA output on channel one to a panel meter, a 0-10 VDC signal on channel two to a PLC and a 0-5 VDC output on channel three to a chart recorder. As all three outputs are isolated from each other and the input signal, it is not necessary for the three instruments receiving signals to have isolated inputs, floating with respect to ground or actually grounded inputs.
The module is supplied in a DIN rail mount enclosure of 100 mm wide x 75 mm high x 110 mm deep that can also be equipment plate mounted and is powered from 120/240 VAC or 18-36 VDC.
