The iKey intrinsically safe keyboards are constructed in a highly rugged, stainless steel case with industrial silicone rubber keypads, ensuring NEMA 4X protection in rugged applications. The keyboards are completely sealed and include optical isolated barriers and bulkhead cables for complete protection in hazardous environments. The keyboards are certified by Factory Mutual (FM) and have approval for Class I, II, and III, Division I, Groups C, D, E, F, and G hazardous locations.

The range includes both desktop and panel-mount keyboards with or without built-in HulaPoint pointing devices. Desktop models include the DT-1000-IS providing 114 keys with 24 function keys and a 10-key numeric pad and the DT-2000-IS and the reduced size DT-5K-IS, both with built-in HulaPoint pointing devices. Panel-mount models include PM-1000-IS, PM-2000-IS and the PM-5K-IS with the same specifications as the desktop versions. A standalone desktop HulaPoint module (HP-DT-IS) is also available. All models in the range have PS/2 interface cables.

Lightweight intrinsically safe keyboards constructed from industrial strength ABS polycarbonate are also available. The small footprint DP-860-IS provides 84 keys with 12 function keys while the DU-5K-IS provides 116 keys with 24 function keys.
