Representing the first drive from the Allen-Bradley PowerFlex 750 series, the PowerFlex 755 AC drive is available in power ranges from 7.5 to 250 kW at 400/480 VAC and 540/650 VDC input. It supports multiple languages, meets global standards and certifications, and is suitable for many industries, including manufacturing, food and beverage, water/wastewater, materials handling, metals, mining and automotive.
The embedded Allen-Bradley DeviceLogix control technology in the PowerFlex 755 optimises the drive’s performance and productivity, as well as simplifying programming. Users have control flexibility to combine inputs and/or outputs and local logic functions to determine the drive’s behaviour. The drive itself can process up to 90 function blocks with integrated instruction types to help configuration.
Two enhanced safety options are available in the PowerFlex 755: Safe Torque-Off or Safe-Speed Monitoring. Safe Torque-Off prevents drive restarts after the safety circuit is tripped. Safe-Speed Monitoring combines the Safe-Torque-Off functionality with Rockwell Automation Safe-Speed Control core technology in one hardware option. Safe-Speed Control reduces and monitors the speed of an application to allow an operator to safely inspect and perform some process maintenance work without stopping the machine completely, thereby maximising productivity.
To enable data-driven decisions, embedded ethernet in the PowerFlex 755 allows users to easily configure, control and collect drive data over EtherNet/IP networks.
The PowerFlex 755 AC drive’s design incorporates a slot-based mechanical architecture that allows customers to tailor the drive with as few or as many options — I/O, feedback, safety, communications and auxiliary control power — as their application requires.
