Anderson Power Products (APP) PowerModHP connector family

Anderson Power Products (APP) has introduced the PowerModHP (high power) connector family, featuring touch-safe female housings, integral positive latches and cable strain relief.

APP’s PowerModHP connector is rated 125 A at a 30°C temperature rise and may be used in appropriate applications to 175 A. The product accommodates American wire sizes from #6 to #2 AWG and metric wires from 16 to 35 mm². These connectors use APP’s Sterling contact technology that offers low electrical resistance, provides a minimum of 500 mating cycles and is rated for circuit interruption (true hot-plug).

The latching system, with distinct blue buttons for clear identification, offers high security and ergonomics. These connectors are IP20 rated (touch safe) for user safety, and the integral coding key provides further protection by allowing the user to configure unique mating of up to six individual connectors. A cable strain relief kit, which encompasses all applicable wire sizes, is available as a product option for additional reliability.

PowerModHP is offered in 10 different connector housing types, including right angle, bus bar, panel mount and blind-mate/float selections, delivering broad design flexibility for current and future high power interconnections.
