Davey Water Products adopts Australian-made logo

Tuesday, 07 September, 2010

With more than 70% of its product range manufactured at the company’s Melbourne facilities, Davey Water Products has been inducted into the Australian Made Australian Grown industry support program.

Davey’s General Manager Marketing, Colin Nash, said, “Joining the Australian Made campaign highlights our commitment to supporting local industry but helps consumers know our products are produced by quality methods and always with the environment in mind.

“Our unique understanding and ability to respond to Australia’s conditions of climate and tough terrain gives Davey-branded products unique recognition as consumers locally and internationally have confidence in our solutions,” Colin Nash says.

Davey is a lean manufacturer and has recently achieved the key environmental standard ISO14001 for its Melbourne manufacturing centre and the company says it undertakes all its product research and development locally.

“We employ over 200 people directly at our Scoresby manufacturing centre and also support significant local parts and components suppliers.

“Davey is not only a market leader in Australia but is an extensive exporter, particularly to the Middle East, the USA and the Asia-Pacific region.”
