IEI Technology Icecare Mobile Field Assistant 7″ tablet PC

IEI Technology’s Icecare Mobile Field Assistant 7″ tablet PC comes with a TI Sitara ARM Cortex processor and Android 2.3.4 OS. The tablet PC is integrated with a selection of wireless communication technologies such as WCDMA/HSDPA, Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n and Bluetooth 2.1 to keep mobile workers connected with the back office. In addition, the built-in GPS antenna provides access to location-based services, tracking and navigation applications.

The tablet PC comes with front and rear-facing CMOS cameras, a 13.56 MHz RFID reader and a 1D laser/2D imager scan engine, which provides different data-collection methods that help to eliminate risks of human error. To better fulfil the needs of extensive operation time, the device is designed to manage power efficiently with two hot-swappable battery packs that provide 11.1V 1880 mAh capacity.

In order to meet the demands of tough outdoor environments, the tablet PC has been approved for its semi ruggedness. It is dust tight and protected against water splashed against the component from any direction, with an IP rating of 64. The device can be operated under temperature -10 to 40°C, can be stored under temperature -10 to 60°C and has passed the 1.2 m drop test on all sides 26 times.

The tablet PC allows field workers to capture and record, track and locate, access and update information in real time, which can increase field service productivity and efficiency.
