The Evoc EWS-844V is an 8U all-in-one industrial rackmount workstation suitable for control and automation environments. It features a 15 high-brightness LCD with resolution of up to 1024 x 768. The VGA display can be removed independently, providing easy maintenance and usage. Power comes from a 250 W standard industrial switching power supply.

The 10-slot backplane supports the Evoc IPC-6110P4, a PICMG backplane with two PICMG 1.0 system slots, four ISA expansion slots as well as four PCI slots. Mainboard options include all series PICMIG 1.0 CPU cards such as the FSC-1711N Socket 478 PICMG full-size CPU card with VGA/LAN and optional P4 2.0 GHz CPU and 256 MB DDR RAM.

The multifunction membrane keyboard with 10 function keys and 48 data entry keys is on the right side of the display and the touchpad is located below. The chassis is constructed of high-quality steel plate, with a 10 mm thick all-alloy formed front panel.

The I/O interface includes two USB ports on the front, one parallel port, two RS232, one PS/2 interface, one 115 Kbps IrDA interface, and one 10/100 Mbps RJ45 ethernet port. Drive bays are provided for a 3.5 hard disk, CD-ROM and 1.44 MB FDD, all of which are available as integrated options.

With an operating temperature in the range of 0-50ºC (storage at -40 to 60ºC) and operating humidity of 5% to 90%, this workstation is suitable for industrial automation and system control-room or monitoring applications.
