A 350-page full-colour catalogue of the Boneng range of gear reducer products now distributed by Motion Technologies has been produced. The catalogue provides specific information on worm, helical and planetary gearing and provides guidance in the selection of products based on application and environmental factors, complete with fully worked examples.

The larger helical, bevel helical and planetary products benefit from additional focus on thermal performance. The user can select additional cooling options to maximise the mechanical capacity of the reducer selected.

A number of alternatives exist for increasing the thermal capacity of the H series helical and bevel helical drives. These include the fitting of a fan to the high-speed shaft as well as the fitting of external cooling devices such as air-cooled radiators or oil-cooled heat exchangers.

The flow of oil through the external cooling circuits can be provided by a shaft-mounted pump, located on an intermediate shaft extension or driven by an electric motor mounted in a module located adjacent to the reducer.

The flexibility offered by a multi-discipline approach allows for simple modifications (such as shaft ends and mounting arrangements) through to fully integrated turnkey solutions incorporating complete drive assemblies and even special purpose machines.
