Titomic acquires US manufacturing facility
Australian company Titomic Limited has announced a major milestone in its North American expansion with the acquisition of a modern 5500 m2 facility in the US defence industrial hub of Huntsville, Alabama, according to an ASX announcement.
The company says that the US$7.2 million investment solidifies Titomic’s position as an industry leader in high-performance manufacturing solutions for the aerospace and defence sectors and establishes the facility as a cutting-edge Innovation Center for Cold Spray Additive Manufacturing. The centre will drive advancements in cold spray technology, fostering research, development, production and collaboration with key industry and defence partners. The facility will be operational with its suite of low-, medium- and high-pressure cold spray solutions in Q2 2025.
Titomic’s advanced manufacturing capabilities are well-aligned with the US Government’s increasing emphasis on the expeditious application of innovative and disruptive technologies to meet critical and increasing defence and aerospace as well as energy/infrastructure needs. With the Huntsville facility strategically located near the US Department of Defense Redstone Arsenal, NASA’s Marshall Space Flight Center, and leading defence contractors, Titomic says it is uniquely positioned to contribute to expanding national security and aerospace innovation requirements through:
- Rapid and precise component repair and refurbishment for military and commercial aircraft and other military platforms.
- Production of high-strength, lightweight parts for aerospace and defence systems.
- Advanced coatings for corrosion resistance and enhanced durability for use within infrastructure and transportation.
The company plans to leverage its expertise in cold spray technology to deliver timely cutting-edge solutions that enhance the performance and longevity of critical systems across multiple industries.
