TechRentals celebrates 40 years
TechRentals test and measurement rental is a key part of TR Pty Ltd, a 100% Australian-owned and -operated company incorporating TR Hirecom (two-way radio communications), TR Telecom (satellite phone and data), Vidcom (audiovisual/staging rental) and TRVMS (test and measurement equipment calibration).
TechRentals has been providing industry experts with a broad range of the latest industrial test and measurement equipment for 40 years, with this year being the official 40th birthday for TR Pty Ltd.
In 1974, TR began servicing its customers with the repair and selling of electronic equipment. It became evident that what was really required was flexible instrumentation options, particularly while equipment was being repaired or serviced. TR’s first rental transacted in 1978 for only a few hundred dollars.
TechRentals has matured from those early days to a body that now integrates a range of electronic rental solutions to support many business requirements. As the industry has grown, so has TR. Today, including the head office in Melbourne, there are eight locations around Australia, two in Malaysia and three in New Zealand (as well as a distributor) to support customer requirements.
Industry-leading manufacturers such as Anritsu, EXFO, Motorola, Flir, Fluke, GE, JDSU, Keysight Technologies and Megger partner with TechRentals to bring added benefits, through new products such as long-term rental and rental purchase options.
“Over the years we have worked with numerous customers to help with a diverse range of complex applications and scenarios. We are always ready to provide you with our experience and expertise in order to solve your technical problems. Today, we connect with over 80,000 people, and as we move towards our next milestone, we would like to take this opportunity to thank you, our past, present and future customers for your support and assistance over the past 40 years,” said David Gallagher, CEO of TR Pty Ltd.
“We look forward to serving you and the industry well for another 40.”
