SICK offering functional safety application technician training
Manufacturers and operating entities bear full responsibility for the safe operation of machinery and plant. Technicians, service technicians, machine operators and safety representatives can make a significant contribution to legal certainty and safety in the workplace.
SICK is offering functional safety application technician training in Australia. The company says that by participating in this training, technicians will benefit from the many years of experience of SICK’s experts in the field of machine safety and discuss current topics relating to functional safety on an equal footing. Following the training, technicians have the option of taking the “Certified Functional Safety Application Technician (CFSAT) – SGS-TÜV Saar” test and receiving the corresponding certificate.
The course involves three days of classroom training, tailored to the requirements of technicians, with a combination of theory and practice with a high degree of interaction.
The course is suitable for technicians, service technicians, machine operators, safety officers and engineers with a need for knowledge on safety of machinery. It is suited to end users, system integrators and OEMs in the industrial automation area.
Students should have at least two years of work experience with industrial machinery, basic knowledge of automation technology and familiarity with the requirements of electrical safety.
Experience training is conducted by experts with extensive technical know-how, years of experience in machine safety and knowledge of local safety requirements. Technicians will acquire the ability to evaluate protective measures on machines and thus make a contribution to operational safety in their company.
