New products on display at Bulkex 2009
Visitors to next month’s Bulkex exhibition will be able to view some of the latest technology on offer to the bulk and powder handling sector. The event, which is expected to attract 2500 attendees, will be held at Brisbane’s Convention and Exhibition Centre, 4–6 August 2009.
Some of the world’s most advanced heavy industrial drives will be introduced to Australasia by Bonfiglioli at Bulkex 2009, including the largest of the new HD helical drive series and the most powerful Trasmital planetary drive currently available. Bonfiglioli Transmission (Australia) Managing Director Malcolm Lewis said, “It is a totally new design from the ground up, designed to be assembled remotely around the globe to customer requirements by qualified Bonfiglioli subsidiaries such as our own.”
With the local release of the XL series silo unloaders, Australian Harvestore (stand 87) said it has a perfect cure for 'hammer-rash'. The firm will offer one XL machine duty-free at the event. “Australian Harvestore will have the XL unloader on display for its Australian release at Bulkex 2009 and one lucky customer will have the opportunity to buy the display model at a freight-free, duty-free price just as if it was made in Australia,” said Chris Russell, Director at Australian Harvestore Products.
One of the eye-catchers at Nord’s Bulkex display will be head-high industrial gearboxes, which expand the company’s existing line of large gear units. Models with torques of 60,000, 90,000, 135,000 and 200,000 Nm are currently available. Nord says it is the only supplier worldwide to offer gears rated 90,000 Nm and above in the proven Unicase housing.
Valley Longwall International will display Tyton idlers, modular conveyor systems, belt-cleaning products and bucket elevator equipment. “We also have international guests from France and the US available to discuss any bucket elevator questions,” said Brett Maiden, Regional Manager, Valley Longwall International Conveyor Division.
Ansac will exhibit its R series rotary valves, RFS series rotary floating shoe valves, D series dump valves and a screw auger from one of its screw conveyors. “I also plan to have a brand new model from our SG series Slidegate range,” said Sean McCoy, Sales Manager at Ansac. “Our valves have high durability, and fully cast bodies and rotors. Their quality probably explains why our RFS series valves are specified by BHP Billiton and Rio Tinto for their iron ore operations.”
Visitors to the exhibition will have access to a wide range of technical know-how through the free-to-attend Bulkex Academy sessions.
