Jeff Connolly, the current Senior Executive Vice President of Siemens North East Asia, has been appointed CEO of Siemens in Australia effective 1 March 2012 and succeeds Albert Goller, who has resigned after nine years in the position.

Dr Roland Busch, Member of the Siemens AG Managing Board responsible for the Asia Pacific region and CEO of the Infrastructure and Cities Sector globally, said: “Siemens in Australia has achieved significant growth during Albert Goller’s assignment and is very well positioned via its targeted technology offerings to support Australia in addressing its greatest sustainability challenges.”

Albert Goller commented that he is “very pleased with the appointment of Jeff Connolly, a strong Australian leader with extensive international experience. Jeff was the CFO in Australia from 2002 until 2008, so has a deep understanding of the business, the people and the vision developed in our Picture the Future 2030 technology blueprint for Australia. Handing the baton over to him will ensure continuity of our strategic direction.”

Jeff Connolly said: “I am looking forward to returning to Australia after three years in China and intend to spend the initial period listening to policy makers and customers to reacquaint myself with their current needs for solutions in the fields of energy, productivity and city infrastructure.”

Originally from Melbourne, Jeff Connolly holds a Commerce Degree from Melbourne University and has a broad international managerial background across the Siemens portfolio. His numerous executive roles include manufacturing, sales, administration, contract management, treasury and financial risk management, accounting and controlling. As a member of the Siemens global senior management team, he has held numerous director and chairmanship roles and lived and worked in Germany, Austria and China.
