iTech Corporation and CNF & Associates announce merger
Two of Australia’s specialist electrical engineering companies, iTech Corporation and CNF & Associates, have merged to capitalise on the synergies between their businesses.
The merged entity will be known as CNF iTech. The combined company has long served the water and rail infrastructure sectors in NSW, particularly in Sydney and the Hunter Valley, and the wider east coast of Australia. The merger will consolidate and simplify the combined service offering for the companies’ clients.
CNF iTech will continue to service its existing client base, including Sydney Water, Water NSW, John Holland, Transport NSW, Sydney Trains, NSW Government Health Department and Public Works, Fulton Hogan, UGL, BMA Coal and Downer.
George Frougas, CEO of CNF iTech, said merging the organisations will provide major benefits to clients, most particularly by combining low-voltage engineering and control system design and manufacturing with high-voltage expertise and manufacturing.
“The expertise in CNF iTech provides synergies that are not represented anywhere else in the market,” he said. “iTech and CNF & Associates together will now deliver high- and low-voltage electrical engineering service offerings across the mining, energy, water and rail industries.
“This enables the provision of expertise in automation, electrical and mechanical design and systems integration across multiple industries including water, rail systems and manufacturing.”
CNF & Associates has been in operation for over 40 years, and is a privately owned engineering company focused on providing advisory, design engineering and project management for electrical, mechanical and controls for Australian water, energy and manufacturing clients, with a footprint predominately across NSW and WA.
iTech Corporation has been in operation for over 30 years and is also a privately owned, east coast, vertically integrated electrical engineering and control system business. It has worked with major private and government water corporations and rail services.
The merged entity will result in a combined workforce of around 45 employees, with four service locations in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth.
