International asset management conference
From 16 to 20 May 2011, the Asset Management Council together with the Global Forum on Asset Management and Maintenance (GFMAM) will host the 15th international ICOMS Asset Management Conference to examine how effective use of assets can deliver business improvement in small to large-scale organisations.
It is anticipated that the conference will attract over 250 delegates representing more than 20 countries to the Gold Coast for a technically diverse and industry relevant program, covering asset management certification, practical case studies, emerging standards and the significance of risk, culture and leadership within business.
“Ever increasingly, asset management is becoming recognised as a crucial element for businesses to ensure and maintain sustainable revenue generation and profitability,” says John Hardwick, Chairman for the Asset Management Council. “That’s why a common global view towards asset management is essential to ensuring transportability of skills, knowledge and professionals, particularly in the rapidly growing international business sector we find ourselves within. The ICOMS Asset Management Conference 2011 program has been carefully devised with this mind.”
This year, the conference program includes numerous keynote speakers from across the globe including:
- David McKeown, Chief Executive for the Institute of Asset Management, UK, discussing ‘The ISO Asset Management Standard’
- Peter Kohler, Principal Analyst - Asset Sustainability for ITSR, Australia, discussing ‘Maturity Models of Asset Management for Highly Capable Organisations’
- Nezar Al Shamasi, Director, Corporate Maintenance Support for Saudi Aramco Maintenance Council, Saudi Arabia, discussing ‘Asset Management Philosophies at Saudi Aramco’
- Timothy Goshert, Worldwide Reliability and Maintenance Manager for Cargill, USA, discussing ‘Case Studies on Production Gains from Effective Maintenance’
