IICA Technical Evening: Enhancing sustainability and smart manufacturing
The Institute of Instrumentation, Control and Automation (IICA) has announced a Technical Evening hosted by Bürkert, titled Enhancing Sustainability and Smart Manufacturing: Exploring the Ongoing and Future Evolution of Digitalisation.
Diving into the world of digitalisation, sustainability and smart manufacturing, the presentation aims to explore the ongoing and future evolution of digitalisation in the manufacturing industry.
The event will be held on Tuesday, 19 September between 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm at the offices of Bürkert Australia, 15 Columbia Way, Norwest Business Park, Sydney.
Transnational Cyber-Physical Brewing Lab
A pioneering initiative will be presented by Professor Dr-Ing Jochen Deuse of UTS, involving the power of digital twins and data science through the Transnational Cyber-Physical Brewing Lab — a collaboration between University of Technology Sydney and TU Dortmund University. Deuse’s presentation will delve into the lab’s mission: to measure and enhance sustainability, elevate production metrics and meet customer demands across value chains. The endeavour seamlessly connects physical and digital twins of brewing assets across continents.
Future-focused technology integration
Chris Hoey, Regional Manager SEAPAC, will follow up with a spotlight on how digitisation solutions are reshaping smart manufacturing. He will describe how cutting-edge technologies, simple connectivity, cloud-edge architectures and Industry 4.0 protocols create a network of manufacturing assets that can drive sustainability targets for Australian industries.
