IICA announces Technology Expo in Albury

On Wednesday, 3 August 2022, the Institute of Instrumentation, Control and Automation of Australia (IICA) will hold a Technology Expo in Albury Wodonga. The IICA says the expo will exhibit Australia’s widest range of innovations, technologies and equipment in advanced manufacturing.

The event will take place from 2:00 to 6:30 pm at the Albury Entertainment Centre, located at 525 Swift Street, Albury.

Albury Wodonga has always been a strategic location for any type of manufacturing business with easy access to domestic and international markets. Not only is Albury a great opportunity for manufacturers, but it’s also a perfect logistic and transportation hub in Australia, facilitating various operations such as product recycling and reprocessing, advanced manufacturing, defence supply chains, food product processing and warehouse development, geosynthetic products, object production and freight distribution.

With significant advantages for the manufacturing sector, this IICA Technology Expo aims to provide companies in the industry with a stronger presence, providing a strategic partnership channel to expand sustainable operations of instrumentation, control, and automation in Australia.

IICA Technology Expo 2022 is sponsored by Schneider Electric, Yokogawa, HYDAC, Endress+Hauser, Phoenix Contact, Weidmüller, ifm, and Pilz, and over 40 general exhibitors.

Albury Wodonga has been a successful location for manufacturers. Investing in Albury is now proven to be beneficial, with plenty of potential space to develop.

v2food is one example of a company in Albury that is intensively addressing sustainable issues that come with sourcing alternative protein options and using a much smaller carbon footprint. The company supplies its food products to Coles, Woolworths, Aldi, and Drakes across the country.

Other projects include a recycling plant facility in Albury Wodonga under the joint venture of Pact Group Holdings, Cleanaway Waste Management, and Asahi Beverages, processing around one billion 600 ml PET bottles. The estimated feedstock is 30,000–50,000 tonnes per annum according to Pact Group.

The IICA Tech Expo 2022 will allow industry leaders and technology experts to explore not only advanced manufacturing technologies, but also a strategic opportunity for investment, all under one roof at the IICA Technology Expo.

The event is free to attend. Those interested can pre-register now through https://bookings.iica.org.au/bookings/events/event.asp?bookingid=1354.

Delegates have a chance to win an Amazon Echo Dot 4th Gen Smart Speaker.

IICA Technology Expos are a one-stop-shop, featuring many companies showcasing their products or services related to the Instrumentation, control and automation industry, over a drink in a friendly and relaxed environment.
