Honeywell wins award for wireless network
Honeywell Process Solutions has been named the Best Industrial Wireless Provider at the 2014 Asian Manufacturing Awards (AMA) for its OneWireless Network, a multi-application, multi-standard industrial wireless network that extends process control networks into the field.
Winners of the AMA were chosen by an independent panel of judges from Asia, Africa, Australia, Europe and North America. The awards recognise companies whose industrial technology solutions and value-added services enable regional manufacturers to reach and sustain the required levels of world-class performance.
“The industrial wireless network is the critical connectivity behind the operation of the multibillion-dollar chemical, oil and gas, and power plants that are built in Asia,” said Bryan Sim, regional sales manager, field products, Honeywell Process Solutions, who accepted the award on behalf of the company. “Honeywell provides real benefits for customers as loss of view or data might be considered a nuisance by business users but is regarded as a severe incident by automation professionals.”
